Frequently asked questions about my mahi
What happens in the first session?
In our first session, I'll work with you to create a supportive environment where you can share your concerns, challenges, and goals. I'll listen to your story, ask questions, and start to gain insight into your situation. From here, we will discuss where to from here.
How much does it cost?
The cost of working with me varies depending on the services you require. I offer a range of options with your needs in mind. I am also registered with ACC Sensitive Claims, the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) with Telus Health, and I can help you access WINZ funding if you qualify. You can contact me directly for more information and to discuss further.
Do I join online or in person?
My preference is to work in person, however online sessions are an option. Online sessions are conducted via secure video conferencing software, whereas in-person sessions take place at my rooms at Awatea Therapy in Mauinaina/Panmure.
How does therapy make a difference?
With my background in social work and my training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, I have a unique blend of expertise and understanding that allows me to help clients identify barriers to change. With therapeutic support, you can learn to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and find greater fulfillment in your personal and professional life.
