Supervision
As a practitioner with whakapapa Māori, I have a particular interest in providing guidance to other practitioners who may be working with Māori and need further support. I have also completed research into how attachment connections look like from a Māori perspective and am happy to bring this perspective into our sessions.
I offer both clinical supervision and cultural supervision, preferably in person.
Clinical Supervision
With a social work background working in statutory and NGO agencies, as well as psychotherapy experience working in tertiary settings and private practice, I have been providing supervision for a range of clinicians for a number of years now. I am particularly interested in helping people think transferentially about their clinical work, I enjoy working with beginning practitioners, and I also have significant experience working with tangata whai ora Māori and their whānau.
Cultural Supervision
As a pracitioner with whakapapa Māori, I have specialist knowledge in working therapeutically with whānau Māori and have an interest in supporting practitioners in their work with Māori clients.
I offer ongoing or one off cultural supervision sessions to practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds in supporting them with their clinical work.
I have acted as a Puawānanga Kaitiaki in a number of NZAC membership applications.
